Sandra Myrna Díaz returns to Passion for Knowledge

The Argentinian ecologist Sandra Myrna Díaz, one of the world’s most influential scientists in the study of biodiversity and its relationship with human wellbeing, returns to Passion for Knowledge this year.

Known for defending the ‘web of life’ against climate change, her career has been marked by prestigious awards such as the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, as a member of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and the 2019 Princess of Asturias Award for Research, for her fight against climate change and defence of biodiversity.

With her participation on 29 September, the festival will have one of the most authoritative voices for discussing the future of biodiversity and the role of science in building a more sustainable model of coexistence between people and nature.

We will soon be sharing details about this exciting programme of activities lined up for Passion for Knowledge 2026!
