Passion for Knowledge (P4K)
Passion for Knowledge (P4K) is an international science festival open to everyone, organised by Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC). Through an innovative approach and a wide-ranging programme of activities, the festival promotes science as a vital part of our cultural life, helping to improve the wellbeing of future generations while driving scientific, technological, and social progress.
The sixth edition of Passion for Knowledge will be celebrated from 28 September to 3 October 2026. The Victoria Eugenia Theatre in Donostia / San Sebastián will once again serve as the festival’s main venue, while Bilbao will also host a selection of programmed activities.
Passion for Knowledge brings together leading figures from science, culture, and contemporary thought to make knowledge more accessible and encourage dialogue across disciplines. The festival offers a unique opportunity to reflect on how scientific and humanistic knowledge helps shape our culture, our values, and our vision of the future.
The festival features internationally renowned scientists who are leaders in their fields and have played a central role in some of the most significant scientific discoveries of recent decades. Through their lectures, audiences will gain first-hand insight into how they have helped expand the frontiers of knowledge.
Alongside its plenary sessions, the programme includes activities designed for a wide range of audiences, including encounters with secondary school students, Naukas sessions, children’s workshops, performances, and science communication activities led by content creators, among many other events.
